Brazilian freelance artist Isabee, best known for her charming custom portraits, brought her signature illustration style to life in “Isabee Cute Girl Generator,” a project created with OOOPEN Lab’s Custom Image Generator module.
Combining her love for personalized details — from expressive faces to playful accessories — she transformed her art into an interactive avatar maker experience. The creation process, she says, was joyful and intuitive thanks to OOOPEN Lab’s easy-to-use interface and wide range of customization tools.
We invited Isabee to share more about her creative process and experience using OOOPEN Lab. Here’s her story.
Turning Portrait Art into Play
My name is Isabee, I am a Brazilian freelancer artist. I work with a lot of different types of clients, but my specialty is to draw custom portraits. Drawing unique face features and custom outfits, hairstyles and accessories is my day to day routine so it makes sense that creating an avatar maker game with OOOPEN Lab was a truly joyful experience for me.
From Hair Layers to Fashion Styles: Designing with Freedom
After deciding on the concept, I began developing each visual element step by step. The initial steps of the process were drawing a base: I chose to draw a girl in a cute pose. After the base is done I started working on facial features, trying to include the same stylization I have on my personal work. After face features I brainstormed the hair and found out that it would be better to split the hair between parts and colors. Later on my favorite part: Outfits and accessories! Tried to cover a lot of different styles and got really happy with the results.
Discovering Intuitive Tools and Great Feedback
I never worked on an avatar maker so I was afraid to struggle with the formatting but OOOPEN Lab interface was easy to use and very intuitive. I love the huge amount of customization options present and how you can create something with your own signature.
